Gluten Free Biscuits

Here is a terrific gluten free recipe for biscuits that I ran across and think our readers will enjoy.    Give it a try and let us know how it turns out for you!

Gluten Free Biscuits Recipe

Biscuit Ingredients:

  • 100g margarine
  • 150g castor sugar
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 450g gluten free plain flour (or rice flour) – and some extra for rolling out
  • 1 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 1 teaspoon gluten free baking powder

Biscuit Directions:

  1. Cream together margarine and sugar until light and fluffy then add the eggs and vanilla essence and beat together.
  2. Fold then knead in the remaining ingredients until well mixed.
  3. Roll out onto a clean surface sprinkled with gluten free flour and cut into shapes
  4. Bake in a preheated oven: 180?C / Gas Mark 4 for 10-15 minutes until starting to turn golden.
